Saber Interactive has unveiled a new game mode for World War Z, entitled Horde Mode XL, that uses the capabilities of the latest consoles to offer an intense zombie-fighting experience.
In World War Z, a third-person shooter video game, players take on the role of a survivor in a zombie-infested post-apocalyptic universe. The game offers a four-player Cooperative Campaign Mode that can also be played with bots, a weekly PvE Challenge Mode, a classic wave-based Horde Mode, and other competitive Multiplayer options. All of this adds up to a thrilling experience as players work together to survive the zombie hordes and complete various objectives.
A YouTube video was recently released to stir up excitement among gamers by divulging the newest information on Horde Mode XL. Titled World War Z ‘s most massive update ever, the Horde Mode XL update provides more than just the mode itself, including new looks and advantages for the weapon progression system, additional Mutators for the Horde Mode Z, and two fresh weapons – Sai Knives, and the Tri-Barrel Shotgun.
Horde Mode XL presents a much bigger challenge than the original Horde Mode Z, with hordes of zombies from World War Z being larger and more vicious than ever. This time there will be over one thousand enemies on the screen at once.
Remaining alive for as many rounds as possible is the prime objective in World War Z, so players must use their wits and weapons to fend off the relentless zombies and ensure the safety of their comrades. Securing resources is likewise critical, as they can be used to strengthen defenses and provide benefits such as the use of rockets and combustible gas.
On January 24, the Horde Mode XL update was launched and can only be accessed on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. This new mode is sure to give gamers increased hours of zombie-slaying enjoyment. Its unique and difficult gameplay will likely keep devotees of World War Z on their toes and coming back for more. Horde Mode XL looks to give a thrilling gaming experience, no matter if playing alone or with friends.
The ultra-popular game World War Z is now playable on Nintendo Switch, computers, PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as Xbox One and Series X/S.
