Blizzard has unveiled the upcoming Patch 10.0.7 for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, and the update promises to bring exciting new content. Players can look forward to a new set of story, class, and race options, as well as the addition of Heritage Armor questlines.
World of Warcraft launched Patch 10.0.5 on January 24th, introducing new UI updates, white and gray transmog, and daily and world events for players. As of February, gamers can access the Trading Post, a monthly hub in which they can get exclusive currency by completing different tasks to buy cosmetic items.
Just over 24 hours after the launch of Patch 10.0.7, World of Warcraft released a blog post detailing what is to come for players in the update. They will journey to the Forbidden Reach to bridge the story between Dragonflight and Patch 10.1. The Recruit a Friend program will offer new rewards, and the Monk class will be available to Goblins, Lightforged Draenei, and Worgen. Additionally, Orc and Human characters got a preview of the Heritage Armor sets coming in the patch.
Back in late 2022, WoW players were made aware of the upcoming features that were planned, as outlined in the roadmap. Patch 10.0.7 was anticipated to come in the spring, while Patch 10.1 was likely to arrive during the late spring or early summer months. Players should expect the content update to be available sometime in March or April, and it should arrive on the Public Test Realm soon.
The arrival of new story content has been met with much enthusiasm from players, however the majority of the early dialogue has been focused on the freshly unveiled Heritage Armor sets. Orcs were quick to observe that the armor resembled Blackhand’s original design from Warcraft 2, while Humans could spot similarities to Varian Wrynn’s gear. These intricate sets will make a wonderful addition to any World of Warcraft character’s transmog collection.
However, some players were a bit let down by the new Heritage Armor sets. As there are already a few renditions of the Human footman and Orc grunt designs in World of Warcraft, folks were expecting more exceptional designs such as Durotan’s wolf shawl or Anduin’s priest or traveling attire. It is hoped that the Trading Post in World of Warcraft will give players outfits inspired by these ideas in the future.
The popular MMORPG World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is accessible to PC players now.
